Nimeeta & Jagjeet – Engagement Session, NYC

Here’s an engagement session I covered back in December during the holiday season – starring Canadian GQ model, Jagjeet, and firefighter/philanthropist/inventor of the squeegee, Nimeeta.

We were having so much fun that the shoot probably took three more hours than it should have. I’d say it was worth it ’cause we covered a whole lot of ground that day/night: streets of Lexington Ave, New York Public Library, Bryant Park, and Grand Central Station.

Fahid & Fakiha – Nikkah Ceremony, Photo Session and Reception – New York Wedding

The Islamic Cultural Center of New York in uptown NYC is just beautiful. I got there early just to take it all in and snap some photos of the interior. Fahid & Fakiha made the right choice to have their Nikkah there.

These two, being fun to be with and absolutely hilarious, made the two days I spent with them go by quickly.

They had a short Nikkah Ceremony at the ICCNY, followed by a small post-wedding photo session at Gantry Plaza in Queens. I like it when couples want to have their shoot at a spot where they had spent time together in the past – it gives meaning to their shoot.

The next day they had their reception at World’s Fair Marina restaurant in Flushing – where I took Fahid & Fakiha to Flushing Meadows Park at the boardwalk for their reception shoot.

Holiday Babies – Photo Sessions

Is it April already?! Definitely not the time to post a Holiday blog, but then again – I do what I waaauunnt.

I wanted to show you all some baby photos (of three families) I took before Christmas. New families don’t want to miss a moment of their child enjoying the holidays for the first time. Beautifully decorated trees are up, scented candles are lit, and smiles are plenty.

Noble & Linda – A Proposal & Engagement

It’s been a while since I last posted mainly because I was in India for the majority of February! I went after 10 years and it was my first time going as a photographer, so you know I took a ton of pictures while I was there. These photos are still in the editing process so once they’re done, I’ll post them here for you all to see. Can’t wait!

Just wanted to show you this proposal I covered in June, as well as their engagement session & pre-party photos I took a few months afterward.

Noble, who stays true to his name, planned a perfect proposal for Linda at Gantry Plaza in Queens. Linda, not knowing his arrival to NY that day, came to Gantry Plaza with a few friends – where Noble surprised her with a song and a ring.

Biju & Ashley – Staten Island / New Jersey Wedding

Another June wedding!

The day started off with a quick Hindu ceremony in the morning in the suburbs of Staten Island.  Right after, they all began getting ready for a non-denominational wedding in the evening.  Biju & Ashley called it the ‘beer-pouring’ ceremony….did I get your attention now?!  It was held at the Park Savoy in New Jersey – gorgeous place. It was a hot, humid afternoon and it started POURING while the bride and groom were getting ready. It made everybody nervous since the original plan included having the wedding outdoors.

The rain eventually stopped once everyone got to the venue, luckily. I love outdoor weddings – so you know I was happy too! Props to the staff at Park Savoy for setting up within minutes notice.

They were such a fun couple to work with. Very genuine.
